• Confirm current availability, rental terms, and any special requirements with the office.
• Ask about the suitability of storage for sensitive items and which items your agreement allows.

Before you load up

• Pack clean, dry belongings in sturdy, clearly labeled boxes.
• Keep heavier boxes below lighter ones, and avoid stacks that could topple.
• Photograph valuable items and keep an inventory for your own records.
• Keep keys, documents, medicines, and move-day essentials with you.

On move-in day

• Have your rental confirmation and access instructions ready.
• Confirm the lock requirements and bring or purchase the appropriate lock.
• Put frequently needed items near the front and leave room to reach them.
• Check that the unit is secured before leaving, then save your account login details.
